Critiques Show Leeds (UK)

We are very proud with the critique of Donna Whincup from the show in Leeds july 27,
that we love to share it with you !!

I was taken back when I saw this stallion dog that had travelled from the Netherlands to show at Leeds Ch show.
He is in his prime at 6 years old. Full of elegance and strength at the same time, with the most beautiful outline when standing. ...
Masculine in head with a dark eye.
Strong muzzle with correct dentition. Fabulous length of neck, correct lay of shoulder, with a deep brisket allowing for plenty of lung and heart room.
Great spring of rib, strong round bone, straight forelegs sat on cat feet with short nails. Level topline with strong loin, leading to a powerful rear, Exceptional second thigh with a great turn of stifle, straight hocks.
Tail a perfect extention from his topline.
His movement is incredible, he has great reach and drive which gives him the long stride making his movement look effortless.
At one with his handler and moved on a loose lead.
A flawless performance.
I could not deny him the CC & BOB , this also gained him his UK Ch title (subject to KC approval) Pleased to see him short listed in the Utility group.

Solbo's Kayo report Leeds

Leeds 2014, Kayo Best of Breed

Wow, what a great weekend we had!! KAYO'S is a ENGLISH CHAMPION now !!
Kayo has got his first CC at Crufts and at Bath his second CC, so we needed 1 more CC to make Kayo "English Champion".
After some deliberation which show we should go to we decided to go to the "Leeds Championship Dog Show" on Sunday, July 27th.

On Saturday morning we left early from Helmond (NL). And fortunately because it has been quite bussy on the English motorway.
In the evening we had a very nice walk around the golf course near our hotel. Of course no camera or phone with us but believe me, the view was magnificent !!
Sunday morning we went to the show, which was held at the beautiful location "Harewood House" where the Tour de France this year has begun :-)
The weather was perfect, or so we thought, now and then the sun but not too hot.

Kayo "Ch. Solbo's Kayo" became best male with DCC, was Best of Breed and became with that an English Champion!
In the group we were selected but not placed, but again a new experience. And ofcourse so proud of Kayo!!
There were 77 Dalmatians entered and the judge was mrs. D. Whincup (UK).

At the ringside there was the judge of the Crufts, mrs. D. Dinsdale and the judge of the show in Bath, mr. J. McCarthy and they joined mrs. D. Whincup in the Ring for a celebratory Photo.
All three the judges gave Kayo the CC and also Best of Breed !!

We want to thank all English exhibitors for a warm welcome and your great support !!

in one word .... it was awesome !!

Critiques Show Bath (UK)

We are very proud with the critique of mr. John McCarthy from the show in Bath may 26,
that we would to share it with you !!

My CC winners were both fully mature, a 6 year old dog and a 4 year old bitch.
Each demonstrated Style, Movement, Elegance and Handling which was a joy to see and should be a lesson to all.

B/W 6 year old bred in Norway by Mrs Ivarsson and now resident in the Netherlands this dog is a picture of health strength and elegance. He is slightly bigger than most UK stock but our standard allows for variation in size and this dogs overall balance more than justifies his consideration. A masculine head, he has a confident friendly outlook with good dark eyes, well developed stop, strong muzzel and beautiful teeth that sits on top of a powerful, graceful neck. Clean correct shoulders and a lovely fore chest tell you that both heart and lungs are well developed and have plenty of room, the well sprung and deep brisket confirms this. Strong boned legs finish in tight feet with short well used nails. Moving back a level topline and strong well-muscled quarters top a shapely underline. The thighs are well muscled a great bend of stifle speaks of power well set down vertical hocks take you to the powerful rear feet. The tail is correctly set and carried, thick at insertion it tapers slowly to the tip which reaches to the hock. On the move this dog and his handler are a picture of harmony moving freely together without any stress. The front reach is fabulous and the drive from behind combines to give this dog an enormous length of stride this alone make it appear that he is moving too fast but the eyes are being deceived the movement is beautiful and for him this is a trot. I was very happy to award him DCC and BOB .
When I got home I looked up this dog’s record on the BDC website and found that he had won RCC at Crufts 2013 and CC at Crufts 2014 and todays CC was his second in just 4 visits to the UK.
I hope he will return to compete for his third and claim his UK Title.
